Presenter: Jill Morelli, CG, CGL, Certified Genealogist, lecturer, and writer
Topic: Seven Lesser Known Swedish Websites
This session introduces genealogists to seven valuable, but often overlooked, Swedish online resources that can deepen and broaden Scandinavian research. Attendees will learn how to access each site, navigate its key features, and understand the unique strengths and limitations of the tools. Special attention will be given to ArkivDigital’s new Machine-Transcribed Text (MTT) initiative, which is transforming access to Swedish court and police records through automated indexing. Whether you are new to Swedish research or looking to expand beyond the major databases, this presentation offers practical guidance, clear examples, and strategies for overcoming the challenges of working with lesser-known platforms.
