Description: In this Zoom-only presentation, Kjell offers a master class on Swedish research to SGSC members. Members pose a brick wall problem to Kjell who proceeds to solve it. Then he shares the results with all SGSC members. Watch how SGSC’s main Swedish mentor drills down into Swedish historical documents to solve research problems. Members chosen for April’s Fika are Julie Benson, Carol Kallberg, Len Richter and Wendy Speckman. Kjell will be assisted by SGSC Mentors Karen Rademacher and Bev Harbourt.
Bio: Kjell Andersson has had Swedish ancestry research as his main hobby since 1975. He joined the Swedish Genealogical Society of Colorado (SGSC) in February 2008, becoming the Research & Mentoring Chair and member of the Board. He is a dual citizen (Swedish and U.S.) with a telecommunications executive background. Before moving to U.S., he was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Ericsson Radio Systems AB in Stockholm. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1997 becoming Chairman and CEO of multiple American telecommunications companies. Today he is retired and lives with his wife Birgitta (Titti) in Colorado Springs. Kjell holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a Diploma in Management from CEDEP, Fontainebleau, France.
