Discover how you can find your Swedish roots through Swedish research

Community_College_of_Aurora_Student_Centre_RotundaSwedGenTour 2015 representatives will be touring the United States again this year and will include a stop in Denver. Have you hit a brick wall in your Swedish research or don’t know where to begin? This group of internationally recognized Swedish genealogists will teach and assist Swedish-Americans in finding their roots and researching their Swedish heritage. See demonstrations of Swedish genealogical online sites and databases as well as Swedish genealogical and emigration CDs. there will also be opportunities for individual research assistance*. http://www.swedgen.se/swedgen-tour-2015/

Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping, cadastral, and land registration authority, will also be participating. Lantmäteriet manages the Swedish cadastral system and is responsible for providing present-day and historical geographic maps and data. Their free website allows for searching of historical maps from Lantmäteriet’s digital archive and includes Swedish maps dating from the 17th-20th centuries.

ArkivDigital is the largest private provider of Swedish Church Records and other Historical Records online! All images are newly photographed images of the original document.
