Two Swedish Websites; What’s new at Family Search

FamilyHistoryWebsiteShort:  “Two Swedish Websites to Further Your Research” by SGSC member Beverly Harbourt

Beverly recently listened to a webinar by Kathy Meade from Arkiv Digital.  In the presentation, Beverly learned of some Swedish websites of interest to Swedish researchers.

One of these websites contains information on parishes within a desired län.  The other has an excellent dictionary with translations of birth and other records.

– Program: “What´s new at Family Search” by Barbara Fines Price from the Denver Family History Center

FamilySearch is the largest genealogy organization in the world and maintains a collection of millions of genealogical records and resources for over 110 countries, territories, and possessions.  It is in the process of digitizing its entire microfilm collection and making those images available online.

Over the past year, FamilySearch has completely revamped the website design to include new features on Family Tree.   Barbara will educate us on what is now available on FamilySearch.

Barbara has been a genealogical researcher for 20 years. She is the Director of the Denver Stake Family History Center.
